It hosts several jewellery pieces from the antiquity as well as the emblematic collections of Ilias Lalaounis. Part of the residency programme was to produce a mural in the backyard of the museum and a short interview about the project. Hephaestus was the god of smithery and the museum is located on the hill of Hephaestus so decided to use colours like dark browns, reds, oranges and gold to represent him. Aphrodite being the goddess of beauty urged us to use more pastel and light colours, with lighter and more translucent shapes. London. Born (1999) and raised in Athens, Greece the artist has had training in academic painting and is a graduate fine art student in Print &amp; Time-Based Media at Wimbledon College of Arts and a member of the CIRCA x Dazed Class of 2021.Growing up in the internet age, the artist empties her mind on the table and lets the audience piece it back together.The use of rich visuals and oversaturated colours are fundamental to the aesthetic of the work, applied on sets, characters, costumes and creative direction. Her art practice revolves around the playfulness of virtual identity, creating personas and cyborgs. These are translated through surrealism and post humanism, collaging different elements and bringing them in today’s world.
